About Us
Please read below to learn more about each of the wonderful Primary Teachers at Kingswood!
Erika Hulse
Hello! My name is Erika Hulse. I love being a Primary teacher at Kingswood Montessori STEM Magnet. This will be my 6th year at Kingswood. I love teaching! I especially love teaching the primary grades. It amazes me to see how much each of my students grows throughout the year. My main goal is to help children develop a love of learning. In the past, I have taught 1st grade, 2nd grade and I was a teacher on special assignment for Seminole County Public School's Title I Department. In 1997, I was named Teacher of the Year in 1996 in Dekalb County Schools, GA and 2016 at Kingswood. It is my hope to make school fun and engaging, so that each student will become a lifelong learner. I love my students and consider them a part of my heart.
I am a mom to twin boys, Spencer and Harrison. They are 17 and in their third year of high school. We have a dog named Georgia who is a rescue pup. This is our second time living in Cary. Our boys are natives. I have lived in many places: Illinois, Iowa, Texas, Massachusetts, Florida, Georgia and of course, North Carolina.
My family enjoys traveling and experiencing new things. We like attending high school football games and band events. I like to cook, craft and be with my family and friends. Teaching at Kingswood is one of my very favorite things! I love coming to school and being greeted with hugs and smiles each day.
Mary Lindstedt
I am Mary Lindstedt and I grew up in Chapel Hill, NC. I then moved to Raleigh for college. I attended North Carolina State University and loved being part of the Wolfpack.
My favorite things involve cooking, watching HGTV, eating, shopping, and running. I do not particularly love scary movies, roller coasters, or snakes.
This is my fourth year teaching at Kingswood Elementary. I knew I wanted to be a teacher from a very young age. To practice, I began teaching my stuffed animals every day when I was in elementary school. My love for children and teaching has only grown every year. I’m positive I have the most fun, rewarding, and love-filled job ever.
Audrey Moore
Hello! My name is Audrey Moore, and I am thrilled to be joining the Primary Team at Kingswood this year. I graduated from North Carolina State University in Elementary Education, and actually did my student teaching right here at Kingswood.
I have lived in many places. I grew up in Greenville, South Carolina, then moved to Charlotte, North Carolina for my high school years, and now my family lives in Nashville, Tennessee.
I love to try new things, travel to new places, go for hikes and runs, and bake desserts. In my free time, I like to make landscape paintings or watch Food Network.
I strive to create a strong sense of classroom community, and to make school a happy place to come to each day. I have always known that I wanted to be a teacher, and I am convinced that there is nothing more rewarding than watching children grow into readers, learners, and friends. This is going to be a fantastic year!
Marvelene Richards
My name is Marvelene Richards. I have been teaching for about 15 years. I graduated from American U. with a masters in Education.
I was born in the British Caribbean Island of Saint Vincent, and moved to the USA more than 25 years ago. I love the Lord, and I love teaching.
